Terrain

Elevation, imagery, buildings, map overlays and nautical charts.

Layers

Four stacked layers: elevation, imagery, 3D buildings, and map overlays and data
LayerWhat you get
ElevationThe shape of land and seabed.
ImageryThe surface texture, from satellite or aerial photography.
Buildings3D buildings.
Map overlaysYour own polygon data, shown as coloured layers on the terrain.
Nautical chartsNautical charts shown with the terrain.
LooksSwitch between photorealistic, topographic and nautical looks for the same place.

Coverage

Terrain streams from the cloud as tiles at many zoom levels. Data sources, including the land-sea coastline, blend without hard edges.

LevelDetail
GlobalLand elevation of about 30 m, seabed depths and satellite imagery, almost everywhere.
RegionalAerial imagery down to about 11-15 cm per pixel and terrain to 1 m in selected areas.
Your siteYour own data, at the detail you have.

Your own data

Your data, processed by OSC and published in Sandbox
You provideWhat we do
LiDAR or elevation modelsWe process the data and publish it into Sandbox.
Aerial or drone imageryWe process the imagery and publish it into Sandbox.
Multibeam or satellite-derived bathymetryWe process the seabed data and publish it into Sandbox.
Building footprints or modelsWe process them and publish them into Sandbox.
GIS polygonsWe process them and publish them into Sandbox as map overlays.
Anything else your project needsWe can implement it.
